West Contra Costa Unified School District is an Advanced Placement School District of Excellence for the number of AP courses offered. Some of the AP Classes noted about are offered online at no charge to the student. They also offer free tutoring support for students and have a robust summer school program. Students receive free support in studying for college entrance exams such and ESL. They have college counselors on-site that assist students in applying for the universities of their choice and guaranteed admission agreements with some local community colleges.
