Wahlert Catholic High School
Wahlert Catholic High School provides students in grades 9-12 an outstanding academic curriculum designed for college preparation. With a 100% graduation rate, your student will be surrounded by like-minded, goal-driven and motivated peers. Wahlert offers 1:1 computing technology and robust extracurricular activities with a tradition of success. Beyond the classroom, a commitment to service and community encourages all students to grow as responsible, conscientious adults.
Wahlert is progressive & innovative. Today’s classroom is evolving faster than ever. Because of this Wahlert has found that by making technology a key player in their curriculum, they can deliver an individual learning experience and also facilitate creativity and problem solving for a 21st-century world. Lessons come alive on tablets for students as early as preschool; then in the elementary years, daily lessons integrate laptops, tablets, e-readers, and interactive whiteboards. In middle and high school, students are provided with their own laptop for use at school and at home. The marketplace in which their students will one day work is becoming increasingly progressive, so their educational programs must do the same. Students at this school are developing college-level skills in engineering through programs such as FIRST Lego League, FIRST Tech Challenge and Project Lead the Way.
Students interested in science, medicine or forensics can get their start in their Biomedical Sciences program. With the unique option of a Spanish immersion program as well as a high school Chinese program, students can also prepare for a future in a more global marketplace. Wahlert is effective. Their students consistently score above state and national standards on annual assessments. According to the ACT, their high school students are significantly better prepared for college than their state or national peers. Wahlert graduates 100 percent of their students, and, on average, 98 percent pursue a college education—at some of the finest institutions in the state and nation. Whatever it is Wahlert’s students want to do, their staff is on hand to make sure they succeed.
