Stearns High School
Located in a safe small town, the community of Millinocket and several hamlets in unorganized territories. They are located approximately 75 miles north of Bangor, Maine’s third largest city. Stearn’s international graduates are guaranteed admissions to the University of Maine and may also receive scholarships for the university.
Highly qualified teachers instruct students in the core academic subjects of Social Studies, Math, Language Arts, and Science. Teachers look to engage students in the class and advance them towards higher levels of thinking. In all curriculum areas, Stearns High School looks to continue to meet each student’s individual needs to best prepare them for an ever-changing world.
Stearns boasts state of the art facilities available to their students and the community. The high school gym seats 1800 and is host to many athletic contests and other gatherings throughout the year. A clear focus on performing arts with a beautiful auditorium that hosts many school programs, plays, concerts, dance recitals and a variety of other community events. The spacious cafeteria is used to serve students breakfast and lunch and is a hub spot for students to meet one another.
