Laurens Academy

Laurens, South Carolina

Laurens Academy’s mission statement is to provide a safe, secure environment that will enhance each student’s opportunity to develop to his or her highest potential academically, emotionally, physically, socially, and spiritually. All students participate in a weekly chapel service presented by students, teachers, and outside guests. This is a special time where the school comes together to learn, share, and pray. The faculty is encouraged, when applicable, to incorporate Christian history and principles in their daily activities. Laurens Academy offers an education that will prepare students to enter the college arena and be successful while in college. They believe the best way to carry that out is to provide an environment that is conducive to learning; a place where students and teachers feel safe and secure and as free from distractions as possible.

College counseling and employment preparation is a priority as they teach two separate classes to freshmen and sophomores, as well as work with students individually about college options and majors, resumes, interviewing skills, career options, and scholarship opportunities. In addition, Laurens Academy provides a variety of sports teams year round.
