Niagara – Catholic School District

Peel District School District

The Peel District School Board has been welcoming international students for more than nine years. Peel Schools for International Students was established to enhance the level of support available to international students studying in the Greater Toronto Area.

Key features of the academy include orientation and peer-mentoring programs designed to introduce and integrate international students with their Canadian peers, superior English language programs custom-designed to help motivated international students acquire academic-level English, and extracurricular activities such as basketball, table tennis, volleyball, and a variety of clubs.

Simcoe School Board

The Simcoe County District School Board welcomes students from around the world to participate in full-year and one semester programs.

The SCDSB has nearly 20 years of experience in international education. They have an International Student Program team that includes a program coordinator, administrative and support staff, guidance counselors, teachers and ESL instructors. Each team member is dedicated to supporting an inclusive environment in which both international students and SCDSB students are able to interact and thrive.    

Some of our international students attend an SCDSB high school for one or two semesters, while others graduate with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and continue their education at colleges and universities in Canada or in their home countries.

Toronto School District

Upper Grand School District

The Upper Grand District School Board is in close proximity to Toronto, which is the capital city of Ontario. UGDSB schools are in traditional Canadian communities, where over 95% of residents speak English as their first language. Their offices are located about one hour’s drive west of Toronto in the city of Guelph, which is the largest city and primary urban center in the district.

The Upper Grand District School Board serves approximately 32,000 students in a broad geographical area that includes two counties, County of Dufferin and County of Wellington. The International Student Program at the Upper Grand District School Board welcomes students from around the world to attend their elementary and secondary programs.

Upper Grand also provides early-course selection and a guaranteed timetable.  Their ISP students can even choose their courses before they arrive!

Waterloo – Catholic School District

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board has a tradition of excellence in education that dates back to 1836. The school system is comprised of 25,000 students and 2,500 staff in 5 Secondary Schools (Grades 9-12), 48 Elementary Schools (Kindergarten-Grade 8), and two Adult & Alternative Education Centres.

The Waterloo Region, located in Canada’s Technology Triangle and 100 km from Toronto, is a Canadian hub of post-Secondary education with 14 excellent universities and colleges within a 90-minute radius!
