Pickering College is an independent, co-educational school for children in grades from Junior Kindergarten through grade 12. It is located in Newmarket, Ontario on a 17-hectare property. Pickering College offers a broad range of programs for those wishing to pursue humanities, sciences, math, business studies, arts, and languages (including English as a second language).

A variety of activities are offered to students throughout the school year. Their goal is to provide students with opportunities to experience Canadian culture, to develop new skills, to gain a greater understanding of the international community in which they live and to become independent thinkers.

As a university prep school, Pickering offers a challenging academic curriculum and considers each student’s academic performance and potential in the admission process.

As a student in the Newfoundland International Student Education Program, you will live in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada’s newest province. It is an area internationally recognized for its hospitality and the warmth of its people, making it one of the friendliest and safest places in the world. The NISEP program offers students an opportunity to live and learn at the site where North America begins. It is a place where you can photograph herds of caribou or seabird colonies, icebergs, or whales, still unspoiled by the urbanization of North America.

With NISEP, all students will be immersed in the English Language, both at home and at school. Students will enroll in a grade-appropriate school, and learn alongside English-speaking students. NISEP students also have access to Vital English, an online self-paced learning tool. Vital English uses highly interactive courses applied to real-life situations and covers reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as grammar and vocabulary.

The Nova Scotia International Student Program offers high school education to students from around the world. Single semester and/or full-year programs are available in over 80 junior and senior high schools.

Nova Scotia is a safe, clean province with one of the best health care systems in the world. The Nova Scotia International Student Program is committed to providing an excellent education and homestay environment to all international students.

Students are given the opportunity to choose from a variety of subjects focusing on arts, sciences, languages, and computers. The subjects are taught under the careful supervision of certified teachers. All schools follow curriculum set by the provincial government. Students can also choose from a variety of extracurricular activities such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, curling, skiing, and creative art to name a few.
