Situated next to Indian River State College Mueller Campus, students are encouraged to participate in dual enrollment. Currently, IRCHS is rated an “A” school by Florida’s School Rating System and has been the highest rated high school in Indian River County for the past 10 years. This is an accelerated, public school located near Albany, the Silicon Tech Valley of the East Coast. It offers 49 courses at the Honors level and 20 at the Advanced Placement Level. Historically, over 90% of the Niskayuna’s students who take AP exams score a “3” or higher. In addition, Niskayuna High School offers college credit courses in the following fields: English, Social Studies, World Languages, Business Education, Family, and Consumer Sciences, and Engineering Technology.

Niskayuna High School has been recognized as one of the top schools in the region and the nation, including recently being ranked No. 26 on Newsweek magazine’s listing of “America’s Top High Schools.” Students can choose from dozens of honors-level, Advanced Placement (AP) and college-level courses. Partnerships with select colleges and universities, such as Rochester Institute of Technology, Syracuse University and the University at Albany, allow Niskayuna students—including international students—to earn college credits while still in high school. 94 percent of Niskayuna graduates go on to colleges or universities after high school graduation, including such prestigious institutions as Harvard University, Yale University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Boston College, Princeton University and Georgetown University.

Niskayuna Central School District invites English language-proficient international students (including current exchange students) who are between 15 and 18 years of age to apply for participation in the International Scholars Program. Participants will learn about American life and culture first-hand by residing in the local community with host families and attending Niskayuna High School. Its global student body has included students from Turkey, France, Germany, Japan, China, Russia, and many other countries. Each international scholar gets to participate in school traditions such as homecoming, prom and high school graduation. The program at Keene Central School is unique and in a class of its own. As a small school within a small community in upstate New York, Keene Central Schools offers international students a very close-knit, supportive, and encouraging environment. This program is one of their most affordable F-1 programs. Keene allocates their tuition money towards all student activities, daily meals, special events, school bus and athletics. This school is highly recommended for students who enjoy nature, camping, and sports (especially skiing and snowboarding).

Keene Central continues to strive to provide a rigorous academic program, offering a number of extracurricular activities and support student needs to make sure that they can be successful at achieving their mission to, “Let each become all he or she is capable of becoming.” Keene provides after-school activities and programs to help students grow both in and outside of the classroom.
