American School Experience
Quest Exchange’s American School Experience Program gives students ages 14-18 a taste of life in America with the opportunity to attend school for one, two or three months!
Are you looking for a short-term American high school experience before committing to a full semester or year? Do you dream of being able to study in the U.S. at an affordable price?
The Quest Exchange “American School Experience Program” is for you!
The American School Experience Program (ASE) is a short-term version of our F-1 High School Exchange Program. We offer the opportunity for students to study in an American high school for 1-3 months while living with a host family. The ASE program allows flexible enrollment dates throughout the school year. Students who complete the program can decide to extend or re-apply for a semester or year F-1 High School Program. Quest Exchange’s ASE program has all the benefits of a full year exchange program at a fraction of the cost!
“This Quest program that I participated in was honestly the best experience of my life. It was flexible in it’s time limits so it allowed me to go for a suitable amount of time considering I had to fit it in between finishing year 10 and starting year 11. It all worked out perfectly and there were no problems at all. Between deciding I wanted to go and finding Quest, I was able to start on my experience in a short period of time. The experience itself was amazing and I got the opportunity to make great friends for life and see a whole different country and experience another culture at a young age. The staff at Quest and the school coordinator were all very organised and helpful and made my experience more enjoyable.

Quest works with many schools across the U.S. to provide students a diversity of locations, tuition rates, academic course options and more. Students audit their courses and do not receive grades or transcripts. Students receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program documenting the courses that they have audited. If students decide to extend for a full academic semester or year, they may be eligible to receive course credit.
The Quest Local Coordinator screens host families and visits each home to ensure that the family can provide a safe and supportive environment for an exchange student. The LC holds an arrival orientation and supports and guides each student during the duration of the program.
Quest host families undergo a thorough screening process including criminal background checks, references, in-home interviews and an orientation. They must be approved by the Local Coordinator and receive final approval from the Quest National Office. Host families are eager to share their American culture and learn about their international student’s country and customs.
Participants enter the U.S. on either an F-1 or tourist visa, depending on school choice and course load.
