Thank you for your interest in the Quest International  student exchange programs. We are currently seeking Area Representatives in all regions of the United States.

As an Area Representative, you will act as liaison between the student, host family, and school. Being an Area Representative means building relationships in your community and spreading the word about student exchange. You would be responsible for recruiting prospective host families, conducting in-home visits/interviews and obtaining written school acceptance for your international students.

As a Quest International Area Representative, you are the first line of contact at the local level. It is your job to encourage and support your students, families and schools in all of their endeavors. Because you have regular monthly contact with your students and host families, your actions are crucial to helping Quest International create a successful exchange year.

This position is considered part-time and there is no minimum number of students you must place. It is perfect for persons who work full-time jobs but have some time on the weekends or evenings, or for stay at home parents, even for retired persons who are looking for something to keep them busy and earn a little extra income. You should have a genuine interest in international student exchange and be willing to share your "American" life with a young international ambassador.

As a Quest International Area Representative, you will be an independent contractor. During the term of your agreement with Quest International, you are free to work for and receive compensation from any other person or business. Each year all fees paid to you will be reported to you on a 1099-Misc. report. You will be responsible for any federal or state taxes due on your income. In order to write off expenses at the end of the year, keep track of all your mileage and expenses. Save receipts, long distance telephone bills that apply to your business, and keep an accurate mileage log.

Quest International Area Representatives report to the Quest National Office in San Francisco, California, we offer ongoing training and support to you all throughout the exchange. Quest International will provide you with training materials and ideas on how to fulfill your responsibilities as a Quest International Area Representative.

The real rewards of working with Quest International are the friendships that come from sharing your "America" with international students. It is also a lot of fun to discover new and different traditions with exchange students as they share their own country and culture with you.
